Tree Sizes and Typical Yields

Every tree is different, but these figures are a good guide to how many apples you can expect from a healthy tree.

Small Trees

Dwarf and bush trees are ideal for smaller gardens and can even be grown in large pots.

Typical yield: 10–20kg of apples each year.

Medium Trees

Semi-dwarf trees are a popular choice for most gardens, giving a good crop without taking up too much space.

Typical yield: 30–50kg of apples each year.

Large Trees

Standard, full-size apple trees need plenty of space but can produce a very generous harvest.

Typical yield: 80–150kg of apples each year.
